Writing a Dissertation

The following section provides samples of a dissertation. This was submitted for Ph. D. in Education: English Language Teaching.  Though the major part of the chapterization and contents in each chapter may remain the same for dissertations in humanities and language arts, especially in Asia and India, there may be changes according to the formats prescribed by different universities and institutions. But in all dissertations there is an introductory chapter setting the stage for the actual research, a review of what has been studied and what remains to be researched and a research design providing details for the present study.  This is usually followed by the analysis of data collected and their interpretation which leads to the findings and suggestions. The suggestions may include suggestions for further research too. The final conclusion sums up the entire research in a nut shell.
