WHAT    IS    RESEARCH ?

If  you  find  the  above  definition  very  technical  and  difficult   to  follow  here  is  a simple  one:

“Research is formalized curiosity . It is poking and prying with a  purpose.”
                                                      

HOW   IS   IT   DONE?                                                 

As  the  old  cliché  says,  “ a  problem  well  stated  is  half-solved “,  applies  perfectly  to  any  research.
Here,  ‘problem’  refers  to  the  topic / argument / subject  of   a  thesis.
