Main Sections of a Proposal
When you decide to take up a doctoral research you need to submit a
proposal. Each university and institution has its own established format for the submission of the research proposal. The proposal formats may
differ for different subjects. But all proposal formats cover backgorund infomation about the researcher, main topic of the research, its
objectives, hypothesis and a review of related literature which jsutifies the rationale for the study.
Humanities, Language Arts and ELT proposal formats have all or most of the following components:

Specific assumptions which are to be evaluated and proved or disproved on the basis of the data
collected.
